It all started with the love for a pony
Mélyssa Léveillé is the founder, owner and operator of EarthSide Acres. Throughout her childhood, Mélyssa has always been around horses. If it wasn't her own pony Randy, it was her uncles horses. in 2010, she continued on her love for animals as a Registered Veterinary Technician working in a veterinary practice for 5 years. In Finally in 2012, she got her first horse and she got to develop her connection to horses and gain experience. Later in 2016, she decided to study in Educational assistant and this is where she stands today. Guiding and supporting children in a classroom environnment as wel as children with disabilities, on the autism spectrum, learning disabilities and
In 2019, her horse, Ava, had helped her through post partum depression and anxiety as well as grief and loss. At this point, Mélyssa realised how much of an impact horses have on humans. After lots of research she discovered Equine Assisted Learning and knew right away she wanted to offer this service to her community.
She completed her certification at Dreamwinds Equine Assisted Learning Center in Bradford in August 2021.

Ava has been part of Melyssa's life since 2012, she was only 2 years old. She loves people and is amazing in helping women feeling alone, overwhelmed and exhausted. If you lack support, she is there by your side ready to share her love.
KNIGHT
17 year old Canadian
17 hands high
Knight is a big horse with a big heart. He has come such a long way since his arrival in 2020! He would help women with trust issues, emotional overwhelm and those who lack support.
LOLA
23 year old Paint mare
15 hands high
Lola is a sweet Paint mare who became part of the herd in the fall of 2021. She is very gentle, calm and easy going. Lola is a great new addition to the Earthside Acres family. She works great with women who feel anxious and overwhelmed.
RANDY
28 year old Welsh pony
Randy is a sweet and laidback guy. With all the adventures he's had, he is now enjoying his retirement. At times, he takes part in programs with young children. He can't help but love the kids! He is great to help those who lack confidence in themselves and others.
